The 29th AGM was held on August 5 2018 (at 11 am doors opened at 10.30 am) immediately prior to the normal club meeting - members were urged to attend and have their say - to ensure the smooth running of the club for the next twelve months.
Members were advised that should they wish to place a motion for discussion on the agenda at the AGM, they must lodge the motion with the secretary not later than 21 days prior to the AGM.
Please note that no motions can be taken from the floor.
The current committee has worked well and should be congratulated for their efforts.
A major function at the AGM is the election of committee members to replace vacating members:
The elections were held to fill the following positions
Vice President
Treasurer
Entertainment Officer
General Committee positions
Members were urged to discuss this situation and to nominate appropriate personnel to fill the positions, Nomination forms will been included in the June/July newsletter, and will be available at the June & July club meetinsg(see below)
The Club Awards
The Merit and Industry awards were also presented at the AGM. Members must nominate their choices for these awards by the same deadline - The committee then selects the winner of the Industry Award, and the members select the winner of the Merit Award at the AGM.
